Jim Kane

Chief Executive Officer

Jim became CEO in January 2023, following almost four years at our charity as Chief Financial Officer. Through his extensive experience in finance, Jim has expertly guided our charity to use our resources wisely and achieve best value. This has allowed us to better invest in new innovations and fund exciting initiatives, making our services great places to live and work. 

 

At home, Jim enjoys life as a dad and also has a passion for cycling, Liverpool FC and being outdoors!

Karen Sheridan

Chief Operating Officer

Karen leads our Operational Teams across Scotland and England – ensuring that they provide modern and high quality support. She also oversees our Business Development, Technology Enabled Care and Service Innovation Teams as well as many of our national partnerships with leading community, voluntary and Governmental groups.

 

Karen enjoys spending time with her family and loves walking, exercising at the gym and going to restaurants with friends, to wind down.

Teresa Exelby

Since joining Community Integrated Care in 2020, Teresa has made an incredible impact, leading on initiatives that make our charity an employer of choice and a great place to work, including our first Wellbeing Strategy, innovative flexible working options and numerous investments in colleague pay. Teresa is committed to raising the profile of social care, as demonstrated through our Unfair To Care campaign, in which she led on the research and became a spokesperson for the sector.

Married with three children, Teresa loves travelling with her family, live music, cooking and entertaining when at home.

Carolyn McConnell

Chief Quality and Risk Officer

Carolyn brings a wealth of diverse experience to her role as Chief Quality and Risk Officer, with previous roles in the NHS and the Merseyside Police Authority. Since 2013, Carolyn has been a Trustee for Mencap Liverpool and has a keen interest in improving the accessibility of people with learning disabilities in the community.

Carolyn is an avid reader of crime fiction and enjoys drawing classes to share the hobby with her wonderful grandson!
